Requirements

Candidates should be current students in an accredited degree program or recent graduates (within 12 months) and possess strong written communication skills, knowledge of data analysis methodologies, and demonstrated editorial or news judgment. Audio or video production experience is a beneficial asset, and a passion for podcasts is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Podcast Engagement & Digital Platforms Intern will assist with curating content for the NPR app, producing original audio, and using data to test strategies for audience growth. They will also help optimize and measure the success of NPR podcasts on external platforms, pitch and carry out experiments to inform audience engagement strategy, curate podcast promotions on NPR One and other NPR platforms, conduct data analysis of audio content, and pitch and produce original audio and digital content for NPR’s platforms, all under the close supervision of the host teams.
