Position Overview
The Lead Cyber Security Engineer is a senior-level professional within the Information & Cyber Security job family, possessing advanced expertise in cybersecurity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Advanced Security Architecture: Design and implement sophisticated security architectures to protect the organization's digital assets and infrastructure.
- Comprehensive Security Audits: Oversee and conduct in-depth security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Vulnerability Management: Lead advanced vulnerability assessments and testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Strategic Threat Intelligence: Analyze and interpret strategic threat intelligence to stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT and other senior departments to integrate advanced security measures into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Training and Awareness Programs: Develop and deliver advanced training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices and emerging threats.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and continuously improve security measures.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security incidents, system configurations, and security policies.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and frameworks.
- Risk Management: Conduct advanced risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce advanced security policies and procedures to ensure a secure operating environment.
- Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred Certification(s): Any relevant IT or Cyber Security Certification.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant and practical experience.
Special Skills
- Required:
- Proficiency in multiple advanced cybersecurity disciplines (e.g., network security, application security, endpoint security).
- Expert knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Advanced technical writing and diagramming skills.
- Preferred:
- Familiarity with a wide range of advanced cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- Extensive experience with advanced security incident response and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation for security tasks.
