Candidates should possess a solid understanding and demonstrated expertise in managing cloud security controls, ensuring the security of cloud service offerings, including IAM, firewalls/ACLs, IDS/IPS, WAFs, load balancers, proxies, Linux hosts, storage, and serverless technologies, with at least five years of experience on one major cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, or Azure. Applicants must also have five or more years of experience in a security engineering or related role, including experience securing Kubernetes and containerized workloads, and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and associated security validations, along with experience working with API integrations.
The Lead Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for securing the WP Engine platform, protecting customer data from unauthorized access, and ensuring WP Engine’s security culture and practices enable the achievement of business objectives, working 24x7x365. They will collaborate with internal partners, influence security decisions, educate stakeholders, and negotiate risk mitigation strategies, contributing to the security of thousands of digital assets across multiple cloud providers and hundreds of business applications.
