The Latin America Partner Manager will be responsible for closing business with Smarsh's SaaS messaging products through channels and directly to Enterprise customers in Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Services new channels and accounts, qualifying and closing deals.
  • Establishes new accounts and relationships by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales prospects.
  • Adjusts the content of sales presentations by studying the type of industry or market.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Develops and executes a strategic sales plan to penetrate target markets in Latin America.
  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with potential resellers and partners to expand the company's reach and market presence.
  • Actively pursues and engages with prospects within the financial institution vertical to understand their needs and position solutions accordingly.
  • Drives the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless transition from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Collaborates closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer success to ensure alignment and maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provides regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to management.
  • Develops and communicates timely, complete, and accurate sales forecasts and other sales data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of related work experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of sales and/or account management experience selling into Latin America.
  • Must have established channels in Latin America.
  • Must speak Spanish.
  • Must have a sales-oriented mentality and a willingness to cold call into potential accounts and follow up on marketing-generated leads.
  • Must have sold SaaS software products in the past 2 years.
  • Must be an excellent listener.
  • Must be results-oriented, able to create a sales/business plan and execute it.
  • Must be self-motivated and directed and able to work individually without a lot of support staff.
  • Must be proficient with computers and basic computer programs.
  • Must be willing to work in a small company environment.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of archiving, MDM/EMM, Messaging is a plus.
  • Financial or public sector sales experience and contacts are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Additional languages (Portuguese) are an advantage.
