Solid knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including Cyber Essentials compliance, endpoint protection, and patch management is essential. Hands-on experience with RMM and PSA tools such as Syncro, ConnectWise PSA, ITBoost, and related documentation is also needed. MSP environment experience with strong multitasking and client-facing skills is required.
The IT Support Engineer 3 will monitor and triage incoming support tickets, ensuring proper prioritization and escalation. They will resolve complex technical issues escalated from the 1st Line team, including infrastructure, networking, endpoint, and cloud-related problems. This role involves supporting and maintaining IT systems such as backups, firewalls, remote access tools, and Microsoft 365 environments. Collaboration with vendors and escalation to 3rd Line engineers or service providers is necessary to ensure issue resolution. Documentation of technical solutions, procedures, and internal processes using tools like ITBoost or similar platforms is also a key responsibility. The role includes mentoring and supporting junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance, and participation in regular company events and career growth opportunities.
