Position Overview

As a Credit Analyst Residential, you will assist Australian mortgage brokers with administrative tasks to prepare, process, and track loan applications. This role involves communicating with stakeholders, preparing documentation, maintaining system and CRM updates, and managing loan applications from pre-submission to post-approval within required timeframes. You will contribute to a smooth and streamlined customer experience by working closely with clients and brokers to research lenders, products, and policies that best suit client requirements.
Requirements
- Education:
- Certificate IV Financing & Mortgage Broking
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant course
- Experience:
- More than 4 years of experience in the Australian mortgage broking industry, specializing in AU loan processing.
- Strong understanding of complex loan structures and types (e.g., multiple applicants, multiple securities, SMSF, company and trust lending).
- Strong understanding of various income streams and confident in income calculations for PAYG, SMSF, company, and trust financials.
- Previous experience in data entry of client information to MyCRM (LMG CRM system).
- Previous experience in data entry of loan applications into MyCRM and Apply Online (AOL), Simpology, or direct to the lender.
- Previous experience in generating application paperwork, including First Home Buyers and Discharge forms.
- Experience using aggregator CRMs such as MyCRM, Infynity, Mercury Nexus, Flex, or Salestrekker.
- Proficient in IT software, Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office (including Gmail or Outlook).
- Experience using Project/Task Management Tools (e.g., Monday.com, Trello, Airtable).
Responsibilities
- Closely workshop with brokers to package deals, ensuring optimal structure and alignment with lender policies and client needs.
- Prepare comprehensive credit submissions for various lending scenarios, including refinances, purchases, multiple-securities, multiple applicants, SMSF, and bridging finance.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify financial details.
- Perform NCCP Compliance checks and transcribe notes from summaries to detailed responses.
- Understand and interpret complex financials (Self-employed, SMSF, trusts, and company).
- Complete lender servicing calculators and living expense analyses to assess client borrowing capacities.
- Research lenders with specific policies to suit client requirements and provide expert guidance for compliance and optimal loan structuring.
- Order valuations based on client-provided information, understanding different valuation types and communicating with valuation firms.
- Handle pricing requests across multiple lenders for new applications and settled loans.
- Generate comprehensive credit reports and interpret them.
- Assist in mitigating MIRs, Conditional Approvals, and Settlement Conditions.
- Cross-check approval and settlement documents to ensure details match client requirements per the submission.
- Stay updated on industry trends, lending products, and regulatory changes.
