Requirements

Candidates must possess a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, Nursing, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider preferred. Customer service experience for 1-2 years is also preferred, along with knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in PC software applications, including Microsoft Office, is required.

Responsibilities

The Biomedical Engineer (Application Consultant) will conduct on-site clinical evaluations for new and existing customers, provide on-site consulting and guidance to physicians and operating room personnel during surgery, lead installations and establish functionality at customer sites, educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of surgery products and services, utilize engineering expertise to contribute to quality improvement, act as the primary customer liaison maintaining site visits and assessing satisfaction, strategize with the Account Manager to evaluate customer opportunities, resolve product issues through detailed analysis, keep abreast of new developments regarding Brainlab and competitive products, attend surgery continuing education annually, promote surgery products and services at trade shows, and maximize customer satisfaction while performing other duties as required.
