Position Overview

You will work on an integrated team to build innovative software using mathematical solutions to support users in the defense and intelligence communities.

Responsibilities

• Convert algorithm definitions and prototypes into robust, efficient software applications suitable for operational environments and large images.
• Apply software standards and processes to produce high-quality, extensible, and maintainable software packages.
• Build and improve automated test and verification software and tools.
• Design robust software systems for integrating existing signal processing tools.
• Debug, refactor, and reimplement existing software codebases into new systems and on new platforms.
• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance, eligible for SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology fields (or 5 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree).
• 5+ years of experience in related fields.
• Programming skills in C++.
• Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket).
• Familiarity with Estimation Techniques such as Kalman Filtering.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with formal software development methodologies (Agile).
• Experience writing software that implements algorithms.
• Knowledge of Orbital Mechanics.

Salary Information

Salary Range: $89,000.00 - $189,000.00 annually.

• This range reflects the lowest to highest geographic markets within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington.
• The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined by job-related factors including experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary qualifications should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
