Sales Engineer, EMEA

Position Overview

Meter is at an inflection point, disrupting the networking industry with a vertically-integrated internet networking solution. We are on a mission to evolve the internet into a utility and are expanding into international markets to meet growing demand. As the first Sales Engineer in EMEA, you will be the technical face of our product, defining how it reaches and serves global customers. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with prospects, customers, and partners to architect solutions, remove obstacles, and close deals. You will influence our sales strategy, partner engagement, and scaling efforts across new geographies. Additionally, you will play a vital role in collecting customer feedback to influence our product roadmap, ensuring competitive advantage in the EMEA market.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or greater) from an accredited university, ideally in Networking, IT, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience: Proven success as a high-performing sales engineer at high-growth companies.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in designing, building, and deploying complex networking infrastructure at scale. Familiarity with terms such as TCP/IP, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN is essential.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to professional development, with industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, Network+, Security+ being ideal.
  • Sales Acumen: A strategic approach to sales, driven by technical curiosity to understand customer pain points, deliver compelling demonstrations, understand personas, gain stakeholder buy-in, create urgency, and drive deals to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical voice of Meter's technology with international customers.
  • Architect Meter's go-to-market motion in EMEA.
  • Serve as an integral link in the feedback loop between the product team and international customers.
  • Work directly with prospects, customers, and partners to architect solutions.
  • Remove technical obstacles to close deals.
  • Influence sales processes, partner engagement, and scaling strategies in new geographies.
  • Collect customer feedback to influence the product roadmap.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $140,000 - $190,000
  • Commissions: Eligible to earn commissions.
  • Equity: Eligible to participate in Meter’s equity plan.
