Requirements

Minimum 5+ years' experience in Commercial Property E&S underwriting
Ability to underwrite property risks across the spectrum of E&S Property business
Ability to underwrite 100%, primary/shared and layered, and excess structures
Highest levels of technical proficiency and underwriting acumen
Strong marketing and sales skills
Strong understanding of current market conditions
Ability to quickly make decisions, turn around quotes, and manage multiple prospects at one time
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Experience guiding, mentoring, and training junior team members
Ability to collaborate across AIG divisions and with regional Property leadership peers
Commitment to building a culture of diversity and inclusion

Responsibilities

Meet production underwriting goals while maintaining budgeted loss and expense ratios
Develop broker and portfolio strategies
Manage a profitable book of new and renewal business
Assist in guiding, mentoring, and training junior team members
Assist in planning and budgeting
Underwrite risks to maintain and profitably grow the E&S portfolio across desired business segments
Maintain a balanced portfolio across primary and excess placements
Collaborate with internal colleagues and be visible to wholesale trading partners
Review and negotiate manuscript form wordings and coverages
Set direction for the team as a member of senior leadership within Lexington
Drive collaboration within the Zone across business divisions and foster a diverse and inclusive culture
Work with regional Property leadership peers to build a nationally renowned team and culture for Lexington
