Position Overview

General Assembly (GA) is seeking a passionate Manager of Curriculum (Learning Content) to drive innovation in upskilling, reskilling, and the future of work. This role is crucial for identifying strategic content modularization opportunities, evaluating existing content for reuse, and managing the lifecycles of content improvement. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with demonstrable project management expertise, eager to collaborate cross-functionally to maintain a proactive approach to content modularization and updates, ensuring alignment with customer voice and industry trends.

This is a "working manager" role, requiring the individual to manage their own portfolio of strategic projects while providing light-touch people management. While primarily content-focused, there may be occasional needs to supplement client-facing project management.

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Improvement:
    • Standardize the decision framework for content modularization.
    • Develop the content incubation process.
    • Orchestrate content improvement lifecycles to strategically create or update content, meeting business needs and outcomes.
    • Become an expert on all content offerings and uphold learning experience and design standards.
  • Innovation & Efficiency:
    • Explore and adopt advanced technologies and approaches, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and methods, for faster content development through experiments and MVPs.
    • Develop training materials and processes to enable others in developing and maintaining content using advanced technologies and modular content creation.
  • Collaboration & Alignment:
    • Standardize the decision-making process for proactive content modularization and reuse.
    • Create and manage content improvement lifecycles that align with industry speed-of-change.
    • Work closely with Product Managers, Marketing, and Client leadership to incorporate Voice of the Customer (VOC) within fluid lifecycles.
  • Team Support:
    • Support full-time, matrixed, and contracted contributors in learning experience design, contextualized development, flexible capacity, and content strategy.
