Position Overview

This role is responsible for directing the completion of all daily inventory control tasks on a specific shift. The Lead is well-versed in systems used by Inventory Control and will assist when a Supervisor/Manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the completion of all daily inventory control tasks on a specific shift.
  • Assist Supervisor/Manager when they are unavailable.
  • Perform Manager/Supervisor duties during absence, including:
    • Balance on hand (BOH) syncs
    • Attending weekly meetings
    • Mgr/Spvr reporting signoffs
  • Ensure all documents are completed and filed according to inventory control policy.
  • Align inventory control tasks to staff.
  • Perform all aspects of training Inventory Control associates.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • One year of relevant job experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of WMS system and its use in all formats.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to lead and motivate a team to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).

Physical Requirements

  • May be required to lift and/or move 20 pounds.
  • Associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk.
  • Subject to a typical office environment; rarely exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Temperatures may vary in computer/server room, print shop, or production areas.
  • Noise level is usually low to moderate, but may be high in distribution settings.
  • Travel requirements vary by assignment.
