General Manager, Canada

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Overview

At Fullscript, we are dedicated to transforming healthcare by making it whole. We empower over 100,000 healthcare practitioners to support 10 million patients through a comprehensive platform that integrates evidence-based health solutions, diagnostic support, and practitioner tools. We are addressing the disconnected nature of modern healthcare, enabling practitioners to treat the whole person and provide timely patient support. Our mission is to create a connected, complete, and impactful healthcare ecosystem.

Fullscript is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead and drive the growth of our Canadian business, our home market. This role represents a significant opportunity, estimated at over $100 million in the coming years. As the most senior leader for Canada, you will be responsible for the end-to-end business, including strategy development, execution planning, go-to-market initiatives, operations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure an exceptional experience for both providers and patients. This is a high-ownership, high-agency position requiring entrepreneurial drive, commercial acumen, and operational rigor. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate closely with the CEO and Chief Product Officer.

Responsibilities

Market Strategy & Growth Leadership

  • Develop and lead a compelling strategy and business case for Fullscript's expansion in Canada.
  • Conduct a thorough market gap analysis covering platform features, pricing, product availability, and competitive landscape.
  • Define a phased execution roadmap to scale revenue, improve margins, and increase platform adoption.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to localize and enhance the platform experience for Canadian users.
  • Explore new growth avenues, including diagnostics, laboratory partnerships, and potential distribution acquisitions.

P&L Ownership & Operational Execution

  • Assume full accountability for the Canadian P&L, including revenue growth, contribution margin, fulfillment costs, and provider retention.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics, fulfillment, and customer experience, supported by U.S. shared services and operational partners.
  • Evaluate the current third-party logistics (3PL) model and assess the strategic and financial viability of transitioning to in-house distribution.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Assess and recommend an optimal organizational structure to support Canadian growth.
  • Build a high-performing local team (Sales, Partnerships, Operations) where necessary, while leveraging U.S. teams through a matrix structure.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, functioning as a "mini-CEO" for the Canadian market.

Provider & Brand Partnerships

  • Drive provider acquisition and retention through sales enablement, strategic partnerships, and platform improvements.
  • Lead key strategic relationships with brand partners, trade associations, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Explore and support brand or distribution partnerships and potential Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) opportunities.

Platform & Experience

  • Co-lead Canadian platform improvement initiatives with Product & Engineering.
  • Drive resolution of existing issues (e.g., product discoverability) and ensure the Canadian platform experience is on par with or exceeds the U.S. offering.
  • Shape the product roadmap based on feedback from Canadian practitioners and patients.

Analytics & Decision-Making

  • Utilize data to inform all business decisions.
  • Own and track key metrics, including revenue growth, contribution margin, provider churn, platform usage, and fulfillment cost per order.
  • Effectively frame business questions, interpret data, and build strong, evidence-based business cases to drive action.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles, with experience in general management, commercial leadership, and/or operational leadership.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership, preferably within the healthcare, SaaS, e-commerce, or supply chain sectors.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of scaling businesses, building teams, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of the Canadian market dynamics and regulatory landscape, or a strong aptitude for rapid learning in these areas.
